The visitors played fine football and several times threatened the Packer goal, only to be stopped by the stonewall defence of the Bay squad. Hammond showed well on defense also. November 1: Green Bay (6-1) 6, Milwaukee (0-3) 0
(MILWAUKEE) - Green Bay's powerful eleven met with a stunning surprise at Athletic Park in their game with the Badgers and were lucky to eke out a victory in the face of the fierce opposition offered by the locals who entered the game as decidedly short enders. The Packers scored a touchdown in the middle of the second
period and there after never had much of an edge. Milwaukee, lacking famous stars, still played good fottball, tackling harder than any team that ever wore thc orange jerseys here, and in the final period, their passing attack seriously threatened a score. Near the end, they blocked a Packer punt and should have had the ball on Green Bay's 8-yard line, but the referee erred and as Green Bay recovered the ball, he permitted them another down and Buck punted out of danger.

The Packers gained the lead in the third period when Abramson was able to boot the ball twice over the goal posts. But in the last three minutes of play the Cardinals put over their touchdown and a short time later another pass, Dunn to Driscoll, brought the ball to the Packers' 15-yard line. Driscoll took his position on the 2-yard line and with the result of the game depending on this final play, he dropkicked the oval straight between the bars.

With the ball on the Packer's 30-yard line and but sixty seconds to go, it looked like a tie game but the fighting Badger state champs never quit until the final whistle blew. A pass to Norton netted 14 yards, then Lambeau, who was hobbling about with an injured leg, tossed the ball to Jack Harris for a chalkmark game. The Packer captain then hurled the ball to Lewellen, who was dumped a yard from the Dayton goal line. It was a 40-yard pass. The whistle blew as Lewellen crashed across the goal.

1925 IN REVIEW: After the Packers began play at Bellevue Park, the fans began to demand a stadium be built for the team that was already becoming the identity of the small Wisconsin town. So the town put up a new stadium on their old field in back of the high school called City Stadium. The paint was barely dry when the first game was played at the new stadium, which had wooden fences and wooden bleachers. In that first game on September 20, the Packers defeated the Hammond Pros 14-0. A week later the fans of Green Bay witnessed the Packers first-ever victory over the Chicago Bears 14-10. The Bears would get revenge in Chicago later in the season as the Packers finished the season with an 8-5 record.
